890SCHWEIZER RIESENCert. BD/OG(Swiss Giant)70 days.An old Swiss HEIRLOOM. Tall, vigorous plants with attractive purple-flowered plants bear large, tender, flavorful, exceptionally sweet snow peas. People sometimes mistake the showy flowers for sweet peas. 5-6 ft. vines need trellising. Purple flowers and young leaves make a beautiful and delicious addition to spring salads. About 20% of individual peas are purple when allowed to fully mature, past the normal eating stage for snow peas. This is normal for this variety.
